Written to celebrate the 80th anniversary of D-Day, with orchestration by Lester Barnes, The Longest Day is featured in a poignant video, shot at The British Normandy Memorial which features a staggering 1,475 giant silhouettes.
D-Day Darlings’ Kate Ashby also performed the song with the BBC Concert Orchestra for the specially recorded concert from Portsmouth’s Guildhall.
