Lester Barnes orchestrated the incidental score for the 2025 feature film Finding My Voice and contributed arrangements to the Oscar-nominated Best Original Song from Begin Again, starring Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo and Adam Levine.
His work as a film composer includes the atmospheric silent film Stray by David Stewart and the chilling horror feature The Stay by Frazer Lee, both praised for their distinctive musical worlds.
He transcribed and arranged Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune for Peter Parr’s visually striking illustrated short film Summer Dream.
Lester also composed the score for the award-winning independent travel documentary Going the Distance, which has screened at numerous international film festivals.
In addition, he wrote several songs and recurring themes for Horrid Henry: The Movie.
